We are excited to bring back our popular Weighted Harness, which was a big hit back in 2020. After making several design enhancements, we have redeveloped it to match our Premium Comfort harnesses, but with added weight features!
So, what makes this harness a weight and fitness harness? Great question!
This harness comes with five strong Velcro pouches as standard. You can easily purchase our specially designed weighted iron blocks that fit perfectly into each pouch. Alternatively, you can fill the Velcro bags with sand, pellet weights, or similar materials and securely attach them inside the harness pockets.
We highly recommend starting your dog with one or two weights. Over the course of 30 days, to improve your dog’s fitness, you can gradually add more weight. Just like with humans, it’s best to start slow and increase the weight over time.
Please note that if your dog is a puppy or still growing, we do not recommend using this weighted harness, as it may put pressure on their bones and joints, potentially causing harm if they are not fully developed. If you have any doubts, please consult your veterinarian for more information about this weighted harness.
For strong dogs and highly active breeds (like Huskies), this harness is a game-changer since these breeds are naturally designed to carry weight.
