If you think a 3” stem may be too big for your smoker when full, please see the ”shim kit”, this will take the stem down to 1.5”
IMPORTANT Calibration of 4” Pro Smoke Pit Thermometer
These thermometers are calibrated to an exact temperature. So, they will not take into account grate level temperature which is normally slightly lower.
If you wish to recalibrate these to read grill temperature, simply turn the adjustment screw on the back to your desired setting.
